About Model Scams
A legitimate
professional modeling agency does not charge up front fees to represent their
models.
Most modeling agencies earn a commission of 20-25% more from their model's
earnings.
The agencies responsibility is to manage, market and represent employment for
their models.
A lot of scams are modeling school, convention, scouting organization or casting
calls.
Don't ever pay a fee to anyone, as some
try to scam with over priced photo shoots or comp cards.
Be careful and check them out before doing anything.
GWC'S Amateur
photographers (guys with cameras) can do more harm than good.
Telling you
that nude photos will boost your career in modeling or know people with playboy
etc.
Giving you poor quality and bad posed images that don't look
professional.
Check them out 100% with referrals and look at samples online
if there is a web site
with no address or telephone listed take caution.
There are a few
photographers, model agents, model mangers and others that have put
a bad
name to the industry. Some of these people are convicted sexual offenders
seeking
out women.
